QUICK UPDATE: We are overfunding having beaten our target in the first 24 hours thanks to our loyal customers. We are now into the final few hours of the campaign (ends midnight tonight Fri 2nd December). There is a limited number of shares available but there is still time to claim your share (pardon the pun). We have secured the funds to open our planned new venues. Funds over and above our target will be used to upgrade existing sites to the latest in back pack less technologies.
Why are we crowdfunding?
It was during the various lockdowns that we decided, when the timing was right, we’d do something special for our loyal customers. We were humbled by the generosity of our players when they were supporting the business by buying gift cards when we were not even open! That deserves a special project to reward that loyalty.
That was the catalyst to us deciding to provide you – our loyal customers and community who have played such an important role in our success so far – the first chance to invest in meetspaceVR’s journey via crowdfunding. Crowdfunding gives you the opportunity to own a part of meetspaceVR in equity as we scale across the UK. You can invest as little as £10 and as much as £100k+. Not only will you have equity in the company but you will be fully involved in our exciting new game launches, site openings and further growth plans.
meetspaceVR’s mission is to create a national brand that brings the world’s best social VR game experiences all under one roof. At the same time we are creating a distribution channel for owners of global IP to create arena scale, free roam, immersive experiences to their fans. Think IMAX for VR. We have always stood for social VR experiences that are accessible, and above all addictively playable. That is probably why you are here and why we have you as a loyal customer.

What will we do with the funds we raise?
The funds will be used for two specific goals;
1.) Upgrade our existing sites with backpack less technology that increases the immersion and feeling of freedom. We have this installed in our latest venues in Thatcham and Manchester and it is another game changer.
2.) Increase our footprint of new venues across the UK. We have recently opened in Manchester and then will quickly follow with Guildford and Leeds, Bristol, Glasgow, Newcastle and Cardiff are earmarked for early next year.
We have some mouth watering new games in development with some global IP that I know will be well received by our players and potential new players across the UK. Our bounce back has shown that people have a thirst for experiencing great games in our worlds with their friends, families and colleagues.
So what is crowdfunding?
Crowdfunding is a way of a person or company raising funds from a large number of people (i.e. the crowd). Our players, you and your friends, are our crowd or community. As we said after the help you showed us we wanted to do something in return. Crowdfunding is the ideal way for us to give something back to you. We ask for an investment in our future growth and in return you get shares in our company. You become and owner of part of our company and hopefully continue to be involved to make it a national success.
The internet and associated companies has helped fuel crowdfunding to allow larger numbers of people to invest where normally it was the reserve of larger investment groups. We are working with Seedrs to run our crowdfunding campaign.
What are the benefits of equity crowdfunding?
Seedrs helps provide a number of benefits the main being the ability to raise funds from a large number of investors in exchange for equity in the business. We raise funds for our future growth and venue improvements in exchange for an equity share in our business. For individual investors, this means they become a shareholders in our company.

The first priority is to offer our loyal customers the chance to invest in meetspaceVR. Our Pre Registration phase is now over and we are currently over funding. That means we have met our target and extra funds will be used to fast forward our growth. There is a limited number of shares available but there is still time to claim your share.
